GOD VS. AMERICA

I know it has been a long time since I have blogged about anything.  I must admit that I am a terrible blogger.  A whole lot has been going on in our house since the last time.  Some good, some not so good, but not terrible either.  We are so happy to have our family put back together.  God has continued to bless this house in so many ways.

The reason for this post is because I have had something that has been so heavy on my heart.  I usually don't get into the political realm of things.  Not because I am not a political person, but because everyone is subject to their opinions and it is just not in my interest to get into a heated controversial discussion with people I love who may see things different.  Today though, I am going to risk it and go there!!!

This nation is depressing me on so many levels.  Where we once started out as a Christian nation, it is slowly going down, down, down.  If you know me then you know where I stand in my faith.  If  you don't know me that well, then allow me to tell you where I stand in my faith.  My God is my STRENGTH, COMFORT, FRIEND, FATHER, ENCOURAGER, DEFENDER, PROTECTOR, AND SO ON.  To sum it up, MY EVERYTHING!!!!!

Here is what brings me here today.....
This controversy that has been going on with Chick Fil A is just and example of where our nation is headed.  I want to say that I do not have a personal grudge against any homosexual.  I have gay friends and family and I love everyone of those individuals dearly.  With that said, I can't go against my beliefs of the bible.  The truth is that this whole gay issue is being terribly blown way out of proportion.  If you choose to be gay, then fine.  I choose to be heterosexual.  It's all about the force that the homosexual community is putting on this world. (Not all, but some.  Let me clarify).  The bible teaches us that marriage is between a man and a woman.  Simply, plain and simple.  You can't change that.  I am a sinner.  I sin every single day.  My sin is no different from your sin, but its a SIN.  There is no changing the Word of God.  The fact that we as a nation are trying in some areas to make this a legal issue is just so absurd to me.  We don't have people trying to legalize adultery or murder or stealing or any of the number of sins the bible commands us to stay away from. It is not excepted in the bible so we as a Christian community should not except it.

I supported Chick Fil A yesterday, not because I hate gays or want to condemn them (it is just simply not my place to do so) but because someone took a stand for Christ and for his teachings and for the freedom of speech in a nation that is so quickly taking all those rights away.  Its not about creating new rights and laws.  Its about keeping the old ones in place so that we can keep this great nation what it is, AMERICA.  Its what so many (including my husband) are fighting for.

If our America would have more fear in God and less desire for their individual rights, it would be amazing where we would be.  I urge any of you to read in Exodus.  God has a strong opinion of the road we are going down more and more everyday.  For those of you who don't believe in the bible or in God, I don't know what to say.  I will not try to force my beliefs on you, but I will simply pray for you.  The day of judgement WILL come and we will stand before God.

With all of this said, I love everyone, RED YELLOW BLACK AND WHITE, the way God commands to love.  I will not be judgemental about the sin you choose for your life, because it is not my place to make that judgement.  It is God's and God alone.  I pray for this nation daily, hourly, whenever is comes on my heart.  I pray that God's truth will prevail and we will see healing in our land.  I pray that we can go back to the days of the founding fathers and once again have God's full approval.  I pray God will continue to have mercy on us.

I want to say again, that we are all sinners, but we are all sinners saved by grace.  The precious grace of God.  I hope if you don't know him, that you will come to know him.  There is no peace in this life without him.  We will leave this world one day and we will face judgement.  We will also spend eternity somewhere.  My eternity will be heaven.  I pray yours will too!!!

Homecoming

I must admit that I am a terrible blog updater!!  We have had so much going on since my last post and I have had no time to update.

The obvious and most exciting thing that has taken place at the Wells home is DADDY CAME HOME!!!  Daddy is home and we couldn't be happier!!  It has been a worldwind around here since he came home, but we are just so happy to be a family again.  God taught us a lot in the year that he was gone.  It was indeed a hard year, but now looking back, I can't recall a single moment that God was not holding our hands and walking us through!  He promises us that he will never leave or forsake us and he means it!!

Right after getting off the bus....It was so good to see him!!!
Our family back together again!!

I stayed with JD down at Shelby for the weekend without the kids.  It gave us some time to go out by ourselves and reconnect before coming home and putting our family back together again.   We are so thankful to be done with this deployment!!

A very special thank you to everyone that was here for us and prayed us through this last year.  To my parents for putting up with us so much.  God provided us with the people that we needed for every step of the way.  I made some wonderful friendships throughout this process and so did JD.

We are so blessed!!!!

Halloween and Fall Harvests 2011

It has taken me a while to get caught up on my Halloween post!!  Here we go.....

We got alot of use out of our costumes this year which is wonderful seeing as how costumes are not at all cheap anymore!!  Cayden is still getting use of his batman costume!  He has been asking me for 3 years to be batman, but I wouldn't let him, cuz I wanted to keep putting the cutesy costumes on him!!  I had to cave this year.....

The first fall harvest we went to was at Pineview Baptist Church....such fun!!  This is where we won our goldfish (that both passed away this weekend).  Not sure what happen, but they are with Jesus now!  Anyway, here are some fun pix from that night!...

I told Grayson to say "CHEESE" and this is his pose!!

This is how Cayden walked everywhere!!  He loved having this control over his brother.  I think it made him feel safe!  LOL!

Next...we had our FRG Hallween party!!  It was lots of fun to dress up!! I haven't dressed up in years, so the kids had fun with this one!  They thought it was great to see mommy get into the action.  Anyway, I went as Rainbow Bright!  Thank you Laura Cox for letting me borrow your costume!!

Me and my sweet babies!!  Fun memories!

Grayson and Carter fighting over the pumpkin.....Look at that face on baby Carter!! I can just eat him up!

I was being mummified!!!!!
Like I said, we had lots of fun!!  Very bittersweet night.....It was our last official FRG party, but that just means THE MEN ARE COMING HOME FINALLY!!!!  I have made some amazing friendships through this deployment.  Some have carried on from the last deployment and I have made some new ones during this one!!  I couldn't have done without the love and support of so many of these ladies!!!  YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!  God has blessed!

Our last fun time was at our church MHBC!  We went to their Fall Harvest Halloween night!!  Here are few pix.  I wasn't able to get a lot of shots because it was a complete madhouse that night and all I could think about was keeping up with my children!  My sis in law Christy and my mom tagged along to help out.....Thanks guys!

Riding the choo choo that we waited in line for the whole time we were there!  LOL!

Well, that is this year and our Halloween fun!!  Next year....we will be back on the trailer with the 4 wheeler doing some trick or treating, but we didn't have daddy this year so we couldn't do it!!

We are nearing the end of this deployment.   I can speak for me and my family and honestly say that we have learned so much from this entire year!!  God has taught us continuously! I was thinking on it today and looking back at all that has gone on and just the daily struggle and can honestly testify that God's grace is sufficient!  I COULD NOT have done this without his new mercies and grace every morning!!  While I am thankful for the growth and relationship with Christ that it has led us to, I am soooooooo grateful that we are about to be a family again!!  I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!!

Bay....hang in there!!  Just a little bit longer!  I can't wait for you to be home with us!  We love you so much!!

Fair 2011

We had our Annual Fair Trip this Friday night!!  It was such a blast.  I love going to the fair and watching my children and their amazement at all the bright lights and big rides.  Their absolute favorite part, hands down, were the animals!!  I think we stayed with the animals the biggest part of the time!!  Ofcourse, with that said, MY absolute most favorite part of the fair is the FOOD!!  I look forward to the "fair cinnamon roll" every year!!  They never let me down and they didn't let me down this year!! Cayden had lots of  fun, but we could tell that he wasn't himself!  When we got home, we realized that he was running a fever.  Been running one all weekend!!  Poor little guy!  He sure wasn't gonna tell us until we were home though.  He didn't want to miss out on all of the fun! :)

As usual, we wish daddy could have been here to share in the fun, but it won't be much longer at all and he will be home!!  Hopefully just in time for the holidays!!  Wise words from my hubby...."Although time may be going very slow, the good thing is we can't stop it"  so that just means that we are getting closer and closer with every passing day!!  Have I mentioned that this has been a dang long year?!?!??!

Here are some pix from our fun at the fair.....

Grayson was actually really scared on this ride at first, but he warmed up pretty quickly
